Student Housing
Explore key information about rental housing on Grand Cayman.
Future veterinarians attending St. Matthew’s University School of Veterinary Medicine, in the Basic Science portion of the DVM program, benefit from living on the safe and modern island of Grand Cayman.
There are many options for student rentals that are close to both campus and the many beautiful locations to experience Caribbean living (beaches, entertainment, restaurants, etc.). Rental units often come furnished (beds, tables, appliances, couches, window dressings, etc.) or fully furnished (everything included).
For help with choosing your future home, please contact our Grand Cayman-based Housing and Settlement Coordinator. They will happily support your due diligence efforts in regards to rental options, cost of living and relocation.
Please note, housing rates are usually highest in the Seven Mile Beach, George Town and South Sound neighborhoods. Also, security deposits are often required and usually total a month’s rent. It is important to consider both these items when planning and budgeting.
Finding housing can become a little more difficult if you have accompanying children or pets. The Housing and Settlement Coordinator can also help you with all the information and requirements for importing pets and relocating with family.
Please connect with the Housing and Settlement Coordinator as soon as possible after your acceptance. The Admissions team can put you in contact – email them at admissions@stmatthews.edu.
